How to play
- Register for the tournament.
- Important: If you want to play in the tournament, make sure you click on the YES, I will be playing in the XBox Live Tournament box. If you'd like to be a Fundraiser (and still qualify for the chance to win your face in NHL®10), just leave that box empty.
- Qualify to play by raising money for BC Children's Hospital. $100 in fundraising gets you started, but the more you raise the better your chances. That's because the top 900 fundraising players with a minimum of $100 raised by October 15, 2008 at 9am PST will qualify to play in the online NHL®09 XBox Live tournament. (But keep fundraising all the way to November 5, as the top fundraiser in your league will advance to the Championship Round.)
- To raise funds, simply send your family and friends an NHL09 email (available on your account page once you log in). It will link them to your page on the site and guide them though how to donate money to help you.
- If you've raised enough money to qualify for the tournament, you can begin play on October 15. Check out our schedule page to find out how you play games.
Warning! Don't want to play the tourney but still want to help out and win your face in the game? Become a non-playing Fundraiser by registering — just make sure you don't click on the YES, I will be playing in the XBox Live Tournament checkbox.
How to support
- Go to our Find a Fundraiser page.
- Use the search box to enter the Player/Fundraiser name or alias you want to support.
- This will take you to the Fundraiser's personal account page.
- Once you're there, make sure you have the right Fundraiser. Then click on the Make a Donation link. This will take you to a page where you can enter your Credit Card information.
- You'll support your Fundraiser, help the kids at BC Children's Hospital, and get a tax receipt (with a minimum donation of $10).
