Fundraise. Play. Win.
Like any good tournament the rules for winning are based on both skill and talent. Skill in the game and talent in fundraising.
In fact, fundraising is key:
- The first 900 players to fundraise a minimum of $100 qualify for the tourney. The tournament begins on the 15th, but you can join at any time up to November 5 as long as you raise the minimum $100. Once you join, you can 'catch up' by scheduling in games against any other player in your league.
- Next, the top fundraiser is one of only two players to advance from your league of 30 players to the Championship Round. So keep fundraising all the way through to November 5 (or November 14 for Championship Round players or Fundraisers aiming for the most funds raised).
- Finally, you need to fundraise a minimum of $500 by November 14th to qualify for a chance at the top prize of getting your face in EA Sports' NHL®10.
Now, about those prizes...
There are four levels of prizes for tournament players, all based around how well you've fundraised and played. The prize structure is listed below (note: one prize per player):
Level 1: The highest finishing player who has also raised $500 or more will win their face in NHL®10 and a personal tour of EA in Vancouver BC with up to $3,000 airfare provide for travel.
Level 2: The highest finishing player who has also raised $400 or more will win an Alienware Area-51® ALX Hotrod desktop gaming system.
Level 3: The highest finishing player who has also raised $250 or more will win a Xbox 360 & EA Game Library
Level 4: The highest finishing player who raised the minimum $100 will win a 32" flat screen TV from BestBuy
Win without playing
You don't have to play to win. The top fundraiser — whether they play or don't play in the tournament — will also win the grand prize of getting their face in NHL®10 and a personal tour of EA in Vancouver BC.
